Forgotten European Village｜Hayashi Farm Gunma Location

群馬県前橋市にある林牧場は、かつて「赤城クローネンベルク（ドイツ村）」として営業していた施設で、現在は閉園しながらもロケ地として活用されている特異な空間です。ドイツ風の街並みや広大な敷地がそのまま残されており、非日常的な世界観を作り出せるロケーションとして高いポテンシャルを持っています。

Hayashi Farm in Gunma was formerly a German-themed park known as “Akagi Kronenberg.” Although it closed in 2017, the European-style buildings and vast grounds remain intact, making it a highly cinematic location for productions.

敷地に入るとまず印象的なのが、アーチ状の構造物と石畳の広場。影と光が強く分かれるこの空間は、時間帯によって表情が大きく変わり、ドラマチックな導入シーンや対峙シーンに非常に向いています。人工的でありながらどこか寂れた空気が漂い、「現在なのか過去なのか分からない」曖昧な時間軸を表現できます。

One of the most striking features is the arched structure and cobblestone courtyard. The contrast between shadow and light creates a dramatic visual effect, perfect for confrontational or transitional scenes, with an ambiguous sense of time.

奥に進むと、林に囲まれた静かなエリアとヨーロッパ風の建物群が現れます。整備されすぎていない自然と、人工的な建築のバランスが絶妙で、ファンタジー、ミステリー、歴史風作品など幅広いジャンルに対応可能です。

Further inside, the space opens into wooded areas and European-style buildings. The balance between nature and architecture allows it to function across genres such as fantasy, mystery, or period-inspired works.

外観の建物は特に印象的で、色褪せた外壁や閉ざされた窓が「使われていない場所」のリアリティを強く感じさせます。手を加えなくてもそのまま廃墟的な世界観を演出できるため、低コストで雰囲気を作れるのが大きな魅力です。

The building exteriors stand out with faded walls and closed windows, naturally conveying abandonment. This allows productions to achieve a ruin-like aesthetic without heavy art direction.

また、この場所は実際に映画やドラマの撮影にも使用されており、「ゴールデンカムイ」「相棒」などの作品実績があります。現場としての使いやすさも証明されているロケーションです。

The site has already been used in major productions such as “Golden Kamuy” and “Aibou,” demonstrating its practicality and versatility as a filming location.

全体として林牧場は、「作り込まれた異国」と「時間の経過によるリアル」が同時に存在する非常に希少なロケ地です。日本にいながら海外の廃れた町並みを再現できるため、世界観重視の作品においては強い武器になります。

Overall, Hayashi Farm is a rare location where constructed European aesthetics meet natural decay. It offers the unique ability to depict a foreign, aged environment without leaving Japan—making it a powerful asset for visually driven productions.
